This system is available for monitoring and logging heave motion and 3D orientation, gyro and accelerometer data and other parameters such as load, pressure and displacement subsea to depths of 4000 metres. An inertial measurement unit (IMU) is utilised for the motion sensing and the real time data is logged by solid state data logger which has additional analogue inputs suitable for load, pressure, displacement sensors etc.. The system can be fitted in a subsea housing suitable for depths to 4000 metres.
Solar PV is becomming an important source of renewable energy electricity generation both for domestic users and industry. Large users and PV systems providers often require to monitor and log a range of parmaters on their PV generation sites such as solar radiation levels, temperature, AC current and voltage, and total KWH generated. Omni Instruments provides complete GPRS based systems to collect all this data and dispaly both real time and historic data via a web browser interface.
Omni Instruments have supplied many bespoke systems for high speed measurement and logging of parameters such as strain, vibration, pressure, electrical signals etc for test and development application in the rail industry, construction, defence and oil and gas industries. Our range of BMCM acquistion units are cabable of acquistion rates of up to 250 KHZ, and store data direct to a PC, laptop or embedded PC. Systems can be provided from a for a few input channels up to dozens uf channels with signal conditioning amps suitable for a wide range of sensors.
Omni Instruments supplies a retrofit GPRS telemetry package which can be fitted to older trains which are not at present equipped with a real time remote telemetry system. This low cost modular system can be used to monitor critical voltages, services and status of relays, and doors etc.. The system sends the data in real time via GPRS to a server where the data is published to a web browser with real time mimic panel views and historic data stored in a database.
Researchers studying the habits of sea mammals such as dolphins, seals and whales need to know the depth to which these animals dive. Omni Instruments supplies small, low cost pressure transducers which are used in data loggers attached to whales and dolphins to measure the depth to which they are diving. These sensors are highly accurate, and have the added advantage that they draw very little current, which is important in battery powered applications.
Downhole tools used in oil and gas drilling and exploration require high performance sensors for pressure measurement. Our series 8 and series 10 OEM pressure capsules are available in ranges up to 1000 bar. They are suitable for operating temperatures up to 150 degrees C, and will provide a 200mV full scale output using a 1mA constant current supply.
A nuclear power station required to measure pressure upstream and downstream of restrictors and in the transfer line of a sludge outflow possibly containing radioactive materials. Omni Instruments provided a special sensor with a design that entails no fluid fill of the sensor, and no possibility of fluid travelling up the cable, permanently submersible to 6m.
