Quick Overview

4 core screened cable, current rating 1 amp, voltage rating 440 V, with 7 / 0.2mm tinned copper strands. Black PVC insulation. Suitable for 0-10v, 4-20mA signals, RS232 & 485 data connections etc. Ideal cable for wiring sensors and other instruments back to a main enclosure or data logger.

Details

Description: Sub-miniature 4-Core Cable, 7-2-4C, to Def Stan 61-12 (Part 4).

 

Conductors:

 0.22mm² (7/0.2mm) tinned annealed copper bunch,
meeting the requirements of BS 6360, class 5.
  Maximum resistance (completed cable) at 20°C : 92.0 Ω/km.

 

Insulation: Type 2 PVC compound to BS 7655.
  Minimum radial thickness : 0.25mm.
  Minimum core diameter : 1.15mm.
  Maximum core diameter : 1.25mm.

 

Lay Up: 4 cores, red, blue, green and yellow.
  Polyester tape.

 

Screen: 0.1mm tinned annealed copper braid.
  Minimum filling factor : 0.7.

 

Sheath: Type 6 PVC compound to BS 7655.
  Minimum radial thickness : 0.3mm.
  Minimum overall diameter : 4.1mm.
  Maximum overall diameter : 4.6mm

 

Service Data: For local interconnection between instruments and electronic equipment.
  Not suitable for direct connection to mains power supplies.
  Maximum working voltage : 440V ac. rms.
  Nominal capacitance : core to core :100pF/m, core to screen : 170pF/m.
  Maximum (conductor) operating temperature : 70°C.
  Approximate mass/unit length : 32kg/km.
