HF5-EX Series Temperature & Humidity Transmitters for Hazardous Area Installations

Quick Overview

The HF5-EX series can only be used together with the intrinsically safe HC2-EX probes to provide a temperature and humidity monitoring system suitable for use in a Zone 1 or 2 Hazardous Area. The relative humidity and temperature can be displayed and output as analogue 4-20mA signals. Calculated psychrometric values such as dew point or mixing ratio can also be derived and provided as one of the output signals. Probes are interchangeable and suitable for mounting in Zone 0/20. Ranges: Temperature -40 to +60C, Relative Humidity 0 to 100%. Accuracy 0.8%RH, 0.1C.

Applications

The HF5-EX series transmitters is a two-channel transmitters for the exact measurement of humidity and temperature in explosive atmospheres. This device conforms to the latest international standards and probes are certified for operation in Zone 0/20 and transmitter itself certified for Zone 1/21. The HF5-EX series consists of a robust aluminium transmitter with or without display. The system doesn't require an intrinsically safe power supply as the circuitry design includes electrical isolation of the measuring system.
