Quick Overview

The SSE232-IA3 is an Ethernet communications devices designed to connect any serial device (RS232, RS485 or RS422) to a standard Ethernet Network. The SSE232 works as a transparent serial server to convert the serial string to an Ethernet TCP/IP or UDP/UP protocol. Units are available with a single isolated serial port, 4 configurable serial ports, or a single port with 10 configurable digital I/O channels. The 4 channel unit is also available with inbuilt flow control. Serial devices connected to an SSE232-IA unit may be connected over the Ethernet using a second SSE232 device, via virtual COM port software, or via the existing device software (required TCP/IP compatibility).

Details

The SSE232-IA3 is the latest version of the SSE232-IA Serial Servers and allows for the remote connection of serial devices over an Ethernet connection. This allows remote connection to serial devices from anywhere in the world via an Ethernet connection. The SSE232 includes devices with 10 configurable digital I/O channels for remote monitoring and control, without the need for any additional input or output modules. A unit is also available with 4 configurable serial ports and with flow control.
