MiniAir 20 Starter Kit

The MiniAir 20 starter kits include the MiniAir 20 Mini anemometer probes with a plastic snap head and Aluminium vane with options for flow ranges of 0-20m/s or 0-40m/s, MC20 display and carrying case. Additional probes, extensions rods and snap heads may be purchased separately. The MC20 display can be used with any MiniAir 20 anemometer probe, MiniWater 20 turbine flow sensors and HygroAir temperature and humidity probes. The carry case has a foam inlay allowing the MC20 display, 3 different sized MiniAir 20 probes, replacement snap heads, HygroAir sensor, extension rods and IR printer to be easily housed in the case

Details

The MiniAir 20 starter kit consists of an MC20 display and a MiniAir 20 portable vane anemometer. It is an ideal first purchase item that contains everything you would need to start taking air flow readings in any general purpose monitoring. The starter kit is ideal for heating, ventilation and air conditioning engineers that need to monitor air flows in ducting or flows from vents.

The MC20 is a dual channel handheld measuring instrument for air flow, temperature and humidity measurements using the detachable anemometer and HygroAir 20 probes. The starter kit anemometer is a MiniAir 20 Mini probe with an Aluminium vane, which is ideal for general purpose air flow monitoring. The carry case is a hard plastic case with a foam inlay suitable for housing all three MiniAir 20 probe sizes, extension rods, snaphead and HygroAir probe.

The MINI20122 includes the Mini snaphead, which is 22mm in diameter, with a flow range of 0-20m/s. Ref: MC2S2.
The MINI20124 includes the Mini snaphead, which is 22mm in diameter, with a flow range of 0-40m/s. Ref: MC2S4.

Snap-Head Replacement

The snap-head fixing system renders it very simple to fit a new impeller to the flow probe: this saves costly non-productive time and in the event of damage to the snap-head enables you to have the probe back in service in a matter of seconds by simply changing the snap-head.

Every MiniAir probes generate a pulse each time a vane blade passes the probe handle and the MC20 display converts the output to a flow velocity. Each snap head and probe handle are paired and any replacement snap head should be of the same original size and flow range. Fitting an incorrect snap head will not match the probe handle and therefore not provide an accurate output to the MC20.
