The BGS2T incorporates the latest generation of powerful 2G wireless modules featuring a Quad band GSM/GPRS modem, TCP/IP connectivity based on GPRS class 10 data transmission and very low power consumption. The unit is ideal for small scale systems in a variety of industrial applications such as metering, security, transportation, remote monitoring and control. The BGS2T industrial terminal is a quad band modem replacing the Cinterion MC52i and MC55i modems.

The BGS2T modem is the latest of the successful Cinterion wireless M2M Module. The Cinterion modules have long been a best seller offering 2G connectivity, full voice capabilities, high speed GPRS data with low power consumption. The ultra compact LGA design offers a minimal footprint perfectly suited to the needs of small, high volume devices with a focus on reliable and efficient processes. It is an exceptional all around choice for any low bandwidth M2M application that needs to migrate to evolving networks.

The Cinterion BGS2 Terminal incorporates the latest generation of powerful 2G wireless modules featuring a Quad Band GSM/GPRS baseband with advanced SSL encryption for IP-based services, jamming detection, an analog and digital audio interface and generic flash access to the internal memory of the module. The module's intelligent design concept allows seamless migration to 3G capabilities, TCP/IP connectivity based on GPRS class 10 data transmission, supporting HSPA data transmission within a contiguous design framework to assure long-lasting, future-proof M2M applications. All provides with an outstanding low power consumption.

The BGS2T’s are ideal for first time M2M implementers and small scale deployments, the terminal offers a reliable, cost effective, out of the box M2M communications for a variety of industrial applications such as metering, security, transportation, remote monitoring and control and many more. Convenient starter kits are available that include the BGS2T-RS232 terminal, magnetic antenna, serial data cable and various power supply options from direct DC supplies to inline mains power supplies available with UK, EU and US plugs.
