Place of installation:
For maximum efficiency, the solar module should be positioned at a vertical angle to the Sun. As this is often not possible and tracking systems are costly, a suitable alternative is to mount the module to a horizontal surface with a clear line of sight to the Sun. Keep in mind that partial shading of the module will significantly reduce its power output and therefore for maximum efficiency select a location with little or no shading. The cells in a module are connected in series, which means that if one cell is shaded, the whole chain is restricted and output is reduced to the level of the shaded cell. This happens with all crystalline solar modules and despite bypass diodes or cell protector.

If solar modules are connected in parallel, each module works independently. The modules may be combined in any size.

Always mount your solar module on a firm and stable surface!

Solar modules with rear cable outlet require a recess/cut-out in the mounting surface to accommodate flush-mounting. If mounted on a solid, rigid surface, the modules can be walked upon with soft shoes, eg boat shoes.

Securing with SunWare mounting clips:

The mounting clips may be used with all SunWare solar modules in the 20 and 40 series. The clips are screwed to the surface using the screws supplied in the mounting kit. Side clips are used to secure the outer edge of the panels, whilst mid clips are also available to secure the edges of two panels mounted next to each other.

Sunware solar modules are not flexible, but can be slightly bent for mounting purposes. Solar modules can be bent to a maximum of 3%. Ensure the panels are secure and do not move as vibrations and excessive bending may damage or destroy the module
