Quick Overview

SMP 10 Smart Pyranometer with 4-20mA output. Double 2mm glass dome. Integrated leveling. Sun shield. Spectral range 285 - 2800nm, response time less than 2 sec (95%), Operating temperature -40 to +80°C. Thermopile detector. 2 wire RS485 Modbus and 4-20mA output. Analogue output range 0 to 1600Wm², Digital output range -400 to 4,000Wm². Power Supply 5 to 30vDC. Supplied with waterproof 8-pin plug connector with 10m of pre-wired yellow signal cable.

Fully compliant with ISO 9060:2018 spectrally flat Class A specifications, the SMP10 offers the best price/performance ratio. Each Instruments is supplied with its own temperature and directional (cosine) response data. Compared to the Class C and B instruments, the SMP10's have a better linearity and long-term stability while providing lower thermal offsets.

The SMP10 is a robust pyranometer that have been designed to provide high quality measurements with little maintenance needs. The SMP10 has a maintenance free internal desiccant that last at least 10 years.

The SMP10 does not require any power. Incoming solar radiation generates a continuous millivolt output, which is converted in a data logger to irradiance in W/m² using the calibrated sensitivity.

The following items are included with SMP10 Series pyranometers:

  • SMP10 Pyranometer
  • Sun shield
  • 10m Cable, pre-wired with 8-pin connector
  • Calibration certificate
  • Instruction sheet
  • Pyranometer fixing kit SMP10: 2 stainless steel screws M5 x 80mm; Nuts and flat washers; Nylon insulation ring
