Tinytag Splash 2

The Tinytag Splash 2 TG-4105 is an ultra-rugged, submersible high-temperature data logger purpose-built for extreme thermal disinfection and sterilization validation. Encased in a heavy-duty, waterproof yellow chassis rated to IP68 standards, the TG-4105 is engineered to withstand rapid temperature spikes up to +125°C. Its compact, cylindrical profile is specifically optimized for high-pressure environments, making it the industry-standard instrument for tracking temperatures inside industrial dishwashers, commercial laundry tunnels, and pasteurization lines.

Core Features & Technical Breakdown

  • High-Temperature Submersible Build: The robust, food-grade plastic casing handles continuous submersion and aggressive chemical exposure up to a peak operational threshold of +125°C (257F) at pressures up to 5 Bar.
  • Inductive Data Retrieval (Zero-Plug Design): To maintain absolute seal integrity under extreme heat and steam pressure, the Splash 2 features a completely solid exterior shell with no physical data ports. Configuring and offloading datasets is managed wirelessly via the ACS-3030 Inductive Pad, eliminating mechanical O-ring wear and water ingress risks during extraction.
  • Fast-Response Internal Sensor: Houses a highly sensitive internal NTC thermistor positioned close to the outer casing wall. This ensures a rapid thermal response time (T90) in water less than 15 seconds), capturing sharp temperature changes accurately during flash pasteurisation or wash cycles.
  • Non-Volatile Memory Matrix: Stores up to 32,000 continuous data points. Because it uses non-volatile flash hardware, all recorded thermal data remains fully protected and retrievable even if the internal battery drops below critical voltage during a run.
  • Programmable Disinfection Alarms: Supports user-defined high and low alarm limits. If a commercial wash or pasteurisation cycle fails to maintain the required target temperature for the legally mandated duration, a visual alarm flag is permanently logged into the data record.

Applications

Monitoring the "A0" lethal rate in hospital sterilization units to ensure medical instruments are safe for reuse.
Verifying that commercial kitchens are reaching the required temperatures to kill bacteria (e.g., HACCP compliance).
Monitoring juice, milk, or beer bottles during heat treatment in tunnels or baths.

Frequently Asked Questions

▶ Q: Can I change the battery myself?
A: No, the Splash 2 is resin-filled for 15m water resistance. It must be returned for a manufacturer service (SER-SPL2).
▶ Q: Why does it need an "Inductive Pad"?
A: To keep the unit 100% waterproof, there are no plugs or sockets. Data is "beamed" through the case to the pad.
▶ Q: Is it safe for food contact?
A: Yes, the robust casing and integral probe are designed for food and beverage processing environments.

Trigger Start Magnet for various Tinytag data loggers. The magnet is ideal for delayed triggering of Tinytag loggers that have been set up for a trigger start. The magnet is merely passed over the correct location on the logger and the lights will start to flash showing that logging procedure has been started. The position of the unit's trigger start switch is indicated by the • • • label on the back of the logger.
