When industrial process validation demands absolute reliability in the harshest environments, the Tinytag Plus 2 Instrumentation series delivers unmatched performance. Housed in Tinytag’s ultra-robust IP68 waterproof and dustproof casing, these heavy-duty data loggers are engineered for long-term outdoor deployment, high-humidity factories, and aggressive washdown areas. They provide the rugged interface needed to connect directly to standard industrial transmitters, utility meters, and laboratory sensors without risking hardware failure from moisture or debris ingress.

The range is split into four core signal-input variants:

  • Low Voltage Specialist (TGP-4703): Tailored for a focused 0V to 2.5V DC range, with a resolution of just 0.1mV it provides a high-resolution tracking for sensitive sensors and millivolt laboratory instrumentation.
  • The Wide-Span Voltage Workhorse (TGP-4704): Engineered for a wide 0V to 25V DC range, making it the premier choice for mapping 12V/24V battery systems, solar cells, and custom analogue sensor outputs in the field.
  • The Process Current Specialist (TGP-4804): Built to record standard 0 to 20mA DC loops (natively supporting 4-20mA instrumentation), functioning as the rugged receiver for industrial pressure, depth, and gas transmitters.
  • The High-Speed Pulse/Count Logger (TGP-4810): Designed to count digital or switch-closure pulses at speeds up to 150Hz, ideal for auditing totalised outputs from flow meters, wind anemometers, and utility meters.

Core Instrumentation Limitations & Configuration Constraints

While the Tinytag Plus 2 Instrumentation series offers rugged environmental protection, its primary limitation lies in its fixed input architecture and permanent firmware scaling. Each hardware unit is dedicated strictly to its native signal profile, functioning purely as a direct current, voltage, or pulse-count logger.

To display true physical metrics (such as Bar, flow rate, or ppm) on your charts, the logger must be factory-calibrated and scaled to the specific engineering units required prior to deployment. This scaling profile is permanent and cannot be modified or reconfigured in the field after the initial setup. To accommodate this, customers have two distinct options at the time of purchase: select a standard raw-signal model to handle calculations manually within external software, or specify your exact sensor scaling requirements upfront for factory pre-configuration.
