Teracom’s 1-wire probe-style sensors are the ultimate installation wildcards for targeted, localised environment tracking. Unlike fixed wall plates or inline housing enclosures, these sensors feature factory-sealed, permanently potted sensing elements at the end of flexible, heavy-duty cable tails.
By shrinking the sensor assembly down to a slim, moisture-resistant probe tip, these devices can be routed directly into tight physical spaces, submerged in liquids, or clamped directly onto machinery where standard sensor enclosures cannot fit.
Every probe houses an onboard digital sensor assembly that handles analogue-to-digital conversion directly at the measurement point. Because data is transmitted over the 1-Wire serial bus as a digital signal frame, your readings remain completely immune to electrical noise and signal degradation, even when extending the cable tail across complex industrial environments. Each individual probe comes pre-programmed with a unique 64-bit serial identification code, allowing multiple probes to share a single data line back to your master controller.
Extending the Probe Reach: Standard probe tails can be extended using high-quality twisted-pair alarm wire or Cat5e/Cat6 UTP cabling. When splicing extensions, always keep any branch stubs off your main trunk line under 1 meter to avoid corrupting communication frames.
