The ThermoAir 20 Directional Hot Wire Anemometer is a directional wind sensor suitable for monitoring low air flows. The Hot Wire Anemometer is able to detect much lower air flow velocities than the vane anemometer and probes are available with velocity range of 0-1m/s and 0-5m/s. Providing a clear low flow value to be viewed on the MC 4.0 handheld display. The directional ThermoAir 20 anemometers enclose the sensor inside a protective probe that ensures it will only take air flow readings in one direction. Helping ensuring that readings can be used to help determine the source of even the smallest drafts. Ideal for use in open air, or clean air environments, eg nursing homes or public buildings.
The key benefit of the ThermoAir 20 directional design is its ability to isolate and identify the precise origin point of an air current. By utilising a portable handheld display, the sensor can be taken to the source, wherever it is. With the sensor enclosed within a protective shroud, it limits to flows from a single axis, the user can conduct systematic, high-confidence sweep tests across building envelopes, window frames, or ductwork joints. The probe can be rotated until the highest reading is shown on the display. Showing the operator definitively that the air is flowing from the direction the probe is showing, making the ThermoAir 20 Directional Anemometer an invaluable tool for root-cause analysis in diagnostic applications.
