Description
The PR 5331 series is a highly versatile programmable transmitter, designed to handle a wide range of measurement tasks. Its universal input capability makes it the ideal ‘go-to’ device for new installations and a crucial component for simplifying your maintenance and spare parts management.
Versatile Input Capability
- Linearised RTD Measurement: Convert signals from virtually any PT100, PT1000, Ni100, Ni1000 to a standard 4-20mA output.
- Linearised Thermocouple Measurement: Types B, E, J, K, L, N, R, S, T, U, W3, W5 or LR Thermocouples to a standard 4-20mA output.
- Resistance Conversion: Convert linear resistance changes (e.g., from potentiometers, valves, or Ohmic level sensors) to a standard 4-20mA signal.
- mV Signal Amplification: Amplify low-level bipolar mV signals to the standard 4-20 mA output, perfect for pyranometers, pressure transducers, LVDT’s, etc.
Features
- Universal Input (RTD, TC, Ohm, mV): The single most valuable feature for stock control. A single PR 5331 unit can replace multiple specific-input transmitters, drastically reducing your spare parts inventory and simplifying procurement.
- High Measurement Accuracy: With an accuracy of better than 0.05% of the selected range, you can trust your readings for critical process control, regardless of the input type.
- Galvanic Isolation (1.5 kVAC): Protects both the transmitter and your control system from ground loops and electrical noise, ensuring a clean and reliable signal in electrically harsh environments.
- PC-Programmable: Simple and intuitive configuration via the PR 5909 Loop Link communications interface. Set up the unit in minutes, not hours, for any application.
- Sensor Error Detection (NAMUR NE43): Continuously monitors for sensor failures (e.g., short or open circuits). You can program the output to a specific fail-safe value (e.g., 3.5mA or 23mA) to immediately alert operators and prevent process errors.
- Durable & Compact Design: Designed for DIN form B sensor head mounting, its compact size fits easily into standard enclosures, while its robust construction ensures long-term reliability.
- 5 Year Warranty: 5 Year Warranty on all Omni Instruments Supplied PR 5331 Transmitters. Warranty covers defects in construction, material, or production.
