Description
The AC series features naturally ventilated weather and radiation shields designed specifically to protect HygroClip relative humidity and temperature probes from solar radiation and driving precipitation. Operating as a modern, compact Stevenson Screen, these white, high-grade UV-stabilised plastic shields maximize solar reflectance and prevent thermal energy build-up, maintaining the high accuracy of the sensors.
To accommodate the diverse range of meteorological probes, the series features multi-plate designs available in different lengths:
- AC1000: The standard length shield, optimized for shorter, direct-connect meteorological probes.
- AC1002: Includes 10 plates to provide extra internal clearance to comfortably house the longer MP100A or MP400A.
- AC1004: Extended variant engineered with the most internal clearance to comfortably house the specialised meteorological probe, MP102H or MP402H.
This ensures complete coverage and protection for any probe choice in outdoor environments with regular airflow, such as meteorological stations, agricultural setups, and building facility systems. Engineered for durability, the shields withstand horizontal driving rain and crosswinds up to 68 km/h, and securely mount to standard masts between 25 mm and 50 mm.
Features
