Other Tinytag Accessories

These accessories are to enhance your Tinytag monitoring setup with our selection of specialised Tinytag accessories. From the “Tinytag Alarm Box – ACS-5001” that provides audible alerts and the protective Stevenson screen for accurate outdoor readings, to the convenience of the trigger start magnet for seamless field activation, these tools are designed to extend the functionality and reliability of your data loggers.

  • Tinytag Alarm Box (ACS-5001): Delivers reliable audible warnings and allows for external device integration when alarm conditions are met.
  • Stevenson Type Screen (ACS-5050): Provides a stable, protected environment for loggers in outdoor settings by shielding them from direct sunlight and precipitation while ensuring free air circulation.
  • Trigger Start Magnet (ACS-6000): Facilitates quick, on-site activation of pre-configured data loggers without the need for additional software or hardware.

The Tinytag Alarm Box (model ACS-5001) is designed to work with Tinytag Plus 2 and View 2 data loggers, providing an audible warning when a pre-set alarm condition is met. It features a programmable delay, allowing users to perform work in monitored areas without triggering the alarm, and includes volt-free relay contacts that allow it to trigger external devices, such as SMS diallers.

Features

  • Audible Warning System: Produces a single chirp every two seconds during an alarm state and features a low battery warning of three rapid chirps per minute.
  • Programmable Delay: Allows for a delay of one second to 11 days, which can be configured using Tinytag Explorer software.
  • External Device Integration: Equipped with two sets of volt-free relay contacts for switching external equipment.
  • Testing and Control: Includes a test button to verify operation and a reset button to clear active latched alarms.
  • Installation: Designed for indoor use and comes with a bracket for easy wall mounting.

The Stevenson Type Screen (model ACS-5050) is an instrument shelter designed to protect Tinytag data loggers from adverse conditions, such as direct sunlight and precipitation, while allowing for free air circulation. It is specifically intended for outdoor monitoring applications and provides a stable, protected environment for the loggers.

Features

  • Capacity: The screen features internal inserts designed to hold two Tinytag Plus or Tinytag Talk style data loggers.
  • Environmental Protection: Shields loggers from radiant heat (direct sunlight) and precipitation.
  • Flexible Mounting: Includes a mounting bracket and U-bolt for attachment to fence rails or posts, and also features a tab with a hole at the top for hanging.
  • Easy Maintenance: The unit is held together by bolts and wing-nuts, allowing for easy disassembly to access or service the data loggers.
  • Design: Allows for free air circulation around the loggers to ensure accurate environmental readings.

The Trigger Start Magnet (model ACS-6000) is an accessory designed to initiate recording on various Tinytag data loggers that have been preconfigured for a trigger start. By simply passing the magnet over a designated location on the back of the logger, users can activate the device on-site without needing download cables, computers, or software at the deployment location. This setup is highly advantageous for medical applications to minimise contamination risks and streamlines fieldwork by eliminating the need for on-site technical training.

Features

  • Effortless On-Site Activation: Allows loggers to be fully set up in a main office ahead of time and triggered to start recording precisely when deployed in the field.
  • Simple Proximity Control: Activated by passing the magnet directly over the explicit three-dot (• • •) markings located on the back of the data logger.
  • Immediate Visual Feedback: Once triggered, the logger’s green LED illuminates briefly and changes its flashing interval (shifting from once every eight seconds to once every four seconds) to confirm active data logging.
  • Widespread System Compatibility: Works seamlessly across multiple product lines, including Tinytag Transit 2, Plus 2, View 2, Ultra 2, Splash 2, Aquatic, and the TK-4014-MED data loggers.
  • Operational Efficiency: Removes the logistical need to transport download cables, carry extra computers to the site, or train field operators on software configuration processes.
