The Rotronic HygroFlex1 (HF1) series consists of highly efficient HVAC transmitters engineered for precise relative humidity and temperature monitoring. Equipped with the field-proven Rotronic Hygromer® IN-1 capacitive sensor, these instruments convert environmental conditions into linear analogue output signals for seamless integration with automation networks. They function as fundamental building blocks for modern climate control tracking, optimising indoor comfort and commercial energy efficiency.

While standard HVAC instruments compromise performance for affordability, the HF1 series stands out by delivering long-term calibration stability and dual freely scalable analogue outputs. Its versatility is further amplified by diverse installation enclosures—including robust wall and duct form factors, alongside a dedicated space-mounted profile for architecturally sensitive installations.

Installation Notes: To avoid measurement offsets, ensure at least 50 mm of the duct probe configuration is inserted directly into the measuring airflow path.

Commercial Availability Note: The listed Wall (Type W) and Duct (Type D/F) models are available for flexible volumes, the other version and all of the Space Mounted (Type S) are subject to a Minimum Order Quantity (MOQ) of 100 units per order block.

▶ Q: What is the difference between the 2-wire (HF120) and 3/4-wire (HF13x) models?
A: The HF120 (2-wire) is a loop-powered device where the power supply and the 4…20 mA analogue output share the same pair of wires, reducing cabling costs. The HF13x (3/4-wire) models utilise separate wires for power and signal lines, which allows them to offer voltage outputs (0…1V, 0…5V, or 0…10V on the HF135) or 3-wire current configurations.
▶ Q: Can I field-calibrate or reconfigure the HF1 transmitters?
A: Yes. Every HF1 unit features an internal mini-USB service interface. By connecting the transmitter to a PC running Rotronic’s HygroSoft (or legacy SW21) software, you can freely scale the analogue output ranges, adjust the humidity/temperature calibration points, and perform diagnostics.
▶ Q: Are the HF1 transmitters suitable for outdoor deployment or harsh washdown zones?
A: The Wall and Duct-mounted versions feature an IP65-rated ABS enclosure, making them highly splash-proof and dust-tight.
