Description

The Water Detection Alarm System, WD-AMX, includes an alarm module that can be connected to water detection cable, rain sensor, condensation sensor or a point sensor and will activate a relay when the sensor detects the presence of water. Allowing you to customise each module to suit your specific needs, whether that is to add alarming to an existing BMS system, or to add some automation.

The AC Excitation Advantage

Unlike standard DC-based sensors that suffer from erosion and surface oxidation—leading to false negatives—the WD-AMX uses an isolated AC excitation signal. This ensures the electrodes remain clean and responsive, providing long-term reliability even in high-humidity environments.

Applications

1. Attached to the WD-CS Water Detection Cable the system can be used to raise an alarm in areas where water leaks are likely to occur, ie basements, etc.
2. Attached to the WD-RS Rain Sensor the system can be used to automatically close windows as soon as the rain starts to fall.
3. Attached to the WD-CPS Condensation Sensor the system can be used to open windows when a dew point is reached, preventing condensation.
4. Attached to the WD-PS Point Sensor the system can be used to control the upper level of water on a wall or surface.
