PR 3186 Series Signal Isolators

3186 Slim Series of 6mm Transmitter/Current Isolators

The 3186 Slim Series Isolators providing a 1:1 conversion of 4-20mA signals. The 3186A provide a 2-wire isolation with excitation and can be used to measure Passive input signals. The 3186B is used for Active input signals. Both are loop-powered devices and will cause a voltage drop of ≤3V. Accuracy better than 0.05% over a range of 3.8-20.5mA. Units are ATEX approved for Zone 2 environments.

Features

  • 3186A is a 1:1 output loop-powered 2-wire transmitter isolator that excites and measures passive input signals.
  • 3186B is a 1:1 output loop-powered 2-wire current isolator that measures active input signals.
  • Excellent accuracy in the range of 3.5-23 mA
  • 1- or 2-channel versions
  • A very competitive choice in terms of both price and technology for galvanic isolation.
  • Provides surge suppression and protects control systems from transients and noise.
  • 3186 eliminates ground loops and can be used for measuring floating signals.
  • The device can be mounted in Safe area or in Zone 2 and Cl.1 Div 2. area.
