The TSD800 is a two-piece proximity system consisting of an active reed switch sensor element equipped with connection leads and a matching permanent magnet piece.
- Dry Contact Relay Output: Operating on standard electromagnetic physics, the sensor functions entirely as a passive dry contact switch. When the door is closed and the magnet aligns with the sensor housing, the internal reed contact closes. The moment the magnet moves away (the door or window opens), the circuit breaks.
- Wide Sensing Gap Architecture: Unlike residential contacts that require tight physical alignment to prevent false alarms, the TSD800 is engineered with a wide operational sensing gap. This wide spacing accommodates natural door warping, structural shifting, sag, and heavy vibration without causing intermittent loop faults or false intrusion alerts.
