Description
The WL420 is a submersible hydrostatic level transmitter is designed for continuous monitoring of liquid level in water wells, reservoirs, tanks, boreholes, rivers and other liquids. The submersible unit will detect the hydrostatic pressure at the bottom of the liquid and transmit a proportional current signal to the water column for system instrumentation.
The highly stable 316L stainless steel diaphragm sensor is compatible with raw or chlorinated water and most semi-aggressive liquids and oils.
Several level measurement ranges are available and allow a wide range of applications, such as installation on local or remote panels and use with data loggers or PCLs.
Features
- Durable and Compatible: The sensor is compatible with raw and chlorinated water, as well as many semi-aggressive liquids. Any media compatible with Stainless Steel and PUR can be safely used with the WL420.
- Accurate Measurement: It measures static pressure using a 316L stainless steel diaphragm sensor, converting it to a 4-20mA current signal proportional to the liquid level. Accuracy is 0.5% over the full range of the sensor.
- Versatile Application: Available in multiple measurement ranges and cable long enough to clear the water. The sensor is also compatible with various instrumentation like panel meters, data loggers, and alarm systems.
- Submersible Design: Designed for submersion in the liquid being measured. Sensor is IP68 rated, suitable for permanent immersion.
- Atmospheric Compensation: A vented cable compensates for atmospheric pressure changes, ensuring accurate readings. A compensation box can be provided to prevent water ingress, whilst still allowing atmospheric venting. This also allows you to add less expensive standard cable to the sensor and ensures the sensor vents to the same pressure as the water level.
