Description
The WiSens range represents a flexible family of submersible data loggers engineered for diverse aquatic environments, ranging from shallow coastal zones to deep-sea deployments down to 6000 meters. Designed for both technical professionals and field operators, these compact loggers capture critical physical and biogeochemical parameters, including Temperature, Pressure, Conductivity, Turbidity, Dissolved Oxygen, and Chlorophyll-a.
The WiSens Underwater Logger were designed to fit specific underwater monitoring application and new version are added when new requirements are filled. The WiSens has a magnetically activated WiFi interface that allows simple configuration with a mobile or tablet using a web browser and the internal web interface. The WiSens can log the readings internally for later retrieval, or connect to the WiHub for 3G/4G transmission that sends the data via a mobile network, this can be via the Starlink network for remote location out of reach of onshore mobile masts.
The WiSens has an internal memory that can hold more than 3 million readings and replaceable Lithium batteries, the unit can be left without supervision for a long time. The unit can be fitted with the fishing gear protection, mooring clamps or to one of a dedicated instrumentation buoys or drifting buoys for fully autonomous logging offshore.
Features
- Wireless Interface & Activation: Equipped with Wi-Fi communication and magnetic activation for straightforward field handling. Data transfer and device configuration are managed through an intuitive web embedded interface.
- Flexible Power & Memory: Powered by replaceable lithium batteries with a high-capacity memory storing up to 3 million measures across 16 Mb.
- Smart Triggering & Sampling: Supports manual or programmable start/stop modes, including pressure or temperature level triggers and date conditions. Sampling rates span from 1 second to 99 hours for standard logs, and up to 16 Hz for specialised wave and tide monitoring.
- Robust Construction: Standard bodies utilise a compact 45 mm profile, while the high-depth WiSens TD 6000 features a rugged Titanium housing designed for extreme subsea pressures.
- Optional Wiper Protection: Accommodates an optional external automated wiper brush system to actively prevent biofouling on optical surfaces during extended aquatic deployments. Available for turbidity (TBD) and chlorophyll-a models

To scale data retrieval across remote deployments, the WiHub acts as an automated surface gateway. When WiSens loggers surface, such as during commercial fishing operations or environmental recovery routines, they automatically transfer their recorded datasets and GNSS position to the WiHub. The WiHub then transmits this information via 3G/4G, Ethernet, or Wi-Fi to a web interface, email, or FTP server. Additional deployment accessories include specialised mooring clamps, fishing gear protective housings, and magnetic activation keys.
