Description
TGE-0010-SPK is the CO2 Data Logger Starter Kit at a reduced price and includes the TGE-0010, mains adaptor, Tinytag software and download cable. This covers everything that is needed to use the Tinytag CO2 Loggers and it can be worth buying one starter kit and then as many TGE-0010 as you need. The TGE-0010 is an ideal CO2 data logger for monitoring Carbon Dioxide levels in class rooms, meeting rooms and offices.
Monitoring Carbon Dioxide (CO2) levels is increasingly crucial for assessing air quality in modern, environmentally controlled buildings. The Tinytag CO2 logger offers a cost-effective solution for this vital aspect of building management. Poor indoor air quality, often linked to inadequate ventilation, can negatively impact concentration, performance, and even health in schools and workplaces. By measuring indoor CO2 concentrations, you gain valuable insights into air quality and the efficiency of the ventilation systems. Typically, the average CO2 concentration in the Earth’s atmosphere is around 400 parts per million (ppm).
In workplaces and schools, CO2 levels typically range from 600 to 700ppm, well above the normal atmospheric levels of 400ppm. While a maximum comfortable level is often set at 1,500 ppm, levels can reach up to 2,000ppm in basements, or poorly ventilated areas. The Tinytag CO2 logger enables continuous monitoring of CO2 levels within a room, generating a clear picture of gas concentration trends over time. It is widely used in building monitoring and HVAC applications, this data logger provides an inexpensive method for verifying adequate ventilation in any given area.

- Flashing red LED indicates if power supply interrupted
- User-defined upper ppm level limit will trigger LED
The Tinytag CO2 logger uses a self-calibrating NDIR sensor, which uses an infrared source to accurately measure the carbon dioxide concentrations in an application. Over time, the properties of the infrared source will change, so the sensor uses a second infrared source, that is only powered up occasionally, to calibrate the first. This patented measurement technique allows for excellent long-term accuracy and stability.
