Description

The TG-4080 has been specifically designed for monitoring the temperature of products during shipment monitoring in mind, the EN 12830 compliant Tinytag Transit 2 is a robust, lightweight temperature recorder. The unit’s low profile means that it can be easily slipped into product packaging and the bright yellow casing allows it to be easily retrieved for collecting the temperature data. The Tinytag Transit loggers are ideal for monitoring shipments of pharmaceuticals, foodstuffs and many other products.

The TG-4080 can be downloaded using either the USB cable, Ref CAB-0005-USB, or an inductive pad, Ref ACS-3030. The inductive pad allows many loggers to be quickly downloaded and doesn’t require the casings to be opened or plugging in cables. The inductive pad also helps prevent condensation building up inside the casing when the loggers are deployed from a warm office.

Alarms

When logging, two status LEDs are visible through the lid of the logger. The flash patterns for these indicators are as follows:

Green LED flash every 4 seconds: Logger is currently logging
Green LED flash every 8 seconds: Logger is waiting to log (trigger or delayed start set)
Red LED flash every 4 seconds: Alarm limit breached during logging

A logger with latched alarms will only flash its red LED whilst the logger is recording, if the logger stops the red LED will stop as well.

The data logger can be programmed to flash the Red LED when the temperature exceeds limits set by the customer. The user can set two independent values to
trigger the flashing of the red LED, and both values can be set to latch so that a unit will continue to show an alarm even when the temperature goes back to acceptable values once again.
