Description
The PS4500 is intended for use in commercial environments. It is designed with field selectable set points from 500 Pa up to a high of 4,500 Pa. The NO/NC switch has a 3A Resistive Load limit, which can be used for space heaters or lighting control. The lower 2A Inductive Load limit is more suited for use with coils, pumps, fans or solenoids. Alternatively, you can always connect through an external relay with a higher rating.
Applications
- Overpressure Safety Cut-Off (Duct Protection): Serving as a critical safety limit. If a motorized fire damper or smoke damper slams shut while a massive industrial fan is still running, static pressure will spike rapidly. The PS4500 is set to immediately cut power to the fan motor to prevent the sheet-metal ducts from physically bursting or collapsing.
- Pneumatic Material Handling: Monitoring high-pressure air streams used to move lightweight materials (like wood shavings, plastic pellets, or paper scraps) through industrial piping.
