Description
The MetConnect THP weather stations are compact, lightweight, multi-sensor instruments that have integrated sensors for temperature, humidity, barometric pressure and dew point. Additional inputs are available for wind speed & direction, PT100 temperature, rain gauge and two analogue inputs (0-5V or 4-20mA). The MetConnect One weather station is the same as the THP version, but features an integrated WindSonic to monitoring wind speed and direction at the same height as the other parameters. All measurements are available as a single string via RS232, RS422, RS485 and Modbus RTU/ASCI, NMEA 0183 or SDI-12. The MetConnect series replaced the previous MetPak series of weather station series, but now features easier integration using simple M12 connector.

The MetConnect weather station provides a complete weather station with a single serial output covering up to 10 reference quality parameters. Parameters include: wind speed and direction; air temperature; relative humidity; dew point; barometric pressure; rain fall sensors; plus additional connections for a PT100 temperature sensor and 2 additional analogue inputs. The units are available in a range of different configurations to suit your specific requirements and parameters you are monitoring.
The MetConnect THP Weather stations allow you to integrate the unit to a separate remote wind sensor. This allows the wind sensor to be mounted away from the base station and provides a wider option of suitable wind sensors, including the WindMaster anemometers which can provide 3D wind measurements. The World Meteorological Organization (WMO) recommends that wind speed and direction be measured at a height of 10 meters above the ground, over a flat surface with few obstructions. For temperature and humidity the recommendation is for measurements at 1.5m above the ground.
