300 Bar covers a broad range of demanding industrial and technological needs. A couple are covered below, but this can be a very useful gauge to have in kit.
Gases like Carbon Dioxide (CO2), Nitrogen (N2), or Natural Gas are injected into the reservoir at high pressure (often exceeding the minimum miscibility pressure, which can be in the range of 100-300 Bar depending on the oil and gas composition and reservoir temperature). At these pressures, the injected gas becomes miscible (mixes completely) with the oil, reducing its viscosity and interfacial tension, making it easier to displace and flow.
The agricultural and construction industries use hydraulic machinery and often these machines need to be able to monitor the pressures of the systems for safety. Having a simple gauge that can be fitted and record pressures during operation can ensure the machines are operating properly and not needing to be serviced.
