Rutland 503/4 Land Tower Kit

The Rutland 504 may be used for temporary installation on land, for example on touring caravans or rv’s. The Rutland 503 Land Tower Kit and Rigging Kit provides a 4m total height tower supplied in 2 sections with joiner. A ground-spike to support the base of the pole is supplied and 6 anchors for the 6 guy ropes, turnbuckles, etc are also supplied. This tower is not for permanent installation!

  • 2 x 2m sections of 35mm outside diameter polished stainless steel tube with tube joiner and ground fixing spike. The tower must be supported by the Tower Rigging Kit or other adequate support supplied by the user.
  • Overall height 4 metre

• Tower Rigging Kit . CA-12/13
  • Consists of 2 sets of 3 guy wires ready fitted to the tower attachments for upper and lower sections, shackles and ground anchors. The guys are polypropylene covered galvanised steel and all steel parts are plated for weather protection.

Rutland 914i, 1200 and FM910-4 Land Tower Kit and Rigging Kit

The Rutland 914i may be used for temporary installation on land, for example on touring caravans, recreational vehicles (RV’s) or summer season installed static caravans. For permanent installations the Rutland 1200 or FM910-4 Windcharger models are recommended.
The FM910-4 may be used for permanent or temporary installation on land. It is not suitable for use on unstable platforms, eg floating buoys as the furling mechanism is affected by rolling motion. Stable platforms eg, oil rigs, are suitable.

This Rutland Land Tower Kit and Rigging Kit provides a 6m total height tower supplied in 3 sections with joiners. A pole ground-spike is supplied and 4 anchors for the 8 guy ropes, turnbuckles, etc are also supplied. This tower pivots for easy installation and lowering and is for permanent installation! A tower can be constructed using a pole of minimum height 6m with an internal diameter of 41mm. Guy ropes or supports should always be used to ensure the tower is rigid. The final height of the turbine should be determined by the site and is discussed in the installation manuals provided.

  • 6.4m (3 x 2.13m sections) of 48mm diameter galvanised steel tube ready drilled for assembly complete with joiners. Suitable for use with Rutland 914i, 1200 or FM910-4 (with adaptor).

• Tower Rigging Kit-910 Series – CA-12/07
  • Complete with steel guys, shackles, turnbuckles, pole attachments, ground fixings for pole and guys. (designed for permanent installation-concrete base for pole and guy anchors recommended)

Rutland Furlmatic 1803 Windcharger

The FM1803 may be used as a permanent or temporary installation on land on appropriate type mounting structures. It is not suitable for use on unstable platforms, eg floating buoys as the furling mechanism is affected by rolling motion. Stable platforms eg, oil rigs, are suitable.

• The minimum recommended height is between 6-10m but the height should ultimately be determined by the location depending on the openness of the site taking into account turbulence caused by trees, buildings, undulating hills,etc.
• A tower can be constructed using a pole of minimum height 6m with an internal diameter of 81mm (3” or 91mm outside diameter tube is usually suitable). Guy ropes or supports should always be used to ensure the tower is rigid, 2 sets each of 4 wires, one set just below the blade line and the other at half the tower height should be regarded as a minimum requirement.
• Alternative towers are available from specialist manufacturers eg lattice type towers, or columns from street light manufacturers. In each case it is preferable to select a tower with a hinge to facilitate lowering.
