GRD1620-XF-4GM Remote Data Logger. 4G, 3G, 2G and SMS Serial Server (LTE Cat 1 Global). Ideal Remote Data Logger/SMS Alarm Unit. One RS232 and one RS485 serial ports available for ModBus Master (reads up to 100 registers) and ITAS Satellite modem communication option. USB port available for local programming and configuration. The GRD can send SMS alarm messages directly from the unit for any alarm conditions. Script programming allows for simple operations and maths functions on input channels. GRD unit has an internal back-up memory for up to 100,000 readings in the event of connection issues with mobile network or remote server and to allow for data batching for satellite transmission. Power Supply: 10-30vDC.

  • Serial Ports: 1 x RS232 & 1 x RS485. Protocols, Modbus Master/Slave, NMEA, ITAS Iridium Satellite.
  • Can be used anywhere in the world with GSM/GPRS or Iridium Satellite.
  • Fully user programmable via windows software with custom scripting programming.
  • Configuration for channel labels, scaling, alarm levels etc. via web interface
  • 10-30vDC power supply (150mA at 12vDC, 100mA @ 24vDC)
  • Unit stores up to 100,000 readings if the network connection be lost and uploads readings when the connection is re-established
  • Unit can be configured to send direct SMS messages on alarm conditions

 

The GRD has 3 LEDs indicators.

PWR: Power applied to the GRD
GPRS: State of registration of the GRD in the GPRS network (GPRS, EDGE, 3G)
LINK: State of the connection between the GRD and the Middleware

Wiring Diagram

Power supply, 10-30vDC.

The RS232 port is a 5-wire DTE type (TX, RX, RTS, CTS, GND).

The RS485 port is a 2-wire type (TR+ and TR-).
