Constructed with carbon fiber and Aluminium, 2-year battery life (15 min logging and once a day upload. 4G modem communications. Aquaprobe or Aquasonde sensors used with this device can gain automatic compensation for barometric pressure readings and GPS data from internal sensors. The AQUATEL-PROBE version is recommended for use with Aquaprobes featuring an automatic cleaning mechanism (like the AP-6000, AP-7000, or AP-Pro) to minimize fouling. It also requires an Aquaprobe Extension Cable and a support cable. Smaller Aquaprobes without automatic cleaning can be used but necessitate regular maintenance to ensure the sensors are affected by bio-fouling.
The AquaTel system functions as a data-logging and telemetry system for the connected probes. It automatically detect the sensor type and configuration, allowing it to record water level and/or water quality at set intervals and then transmit this data to an online platform for viewing and analysis via FTP, or simple SMS text message to a mobile phone.
A key feature of the AquaTel system is its control via SMS text messaging. This allows users to set up and manage the system from any mobile phone without needing to download and install a specific app and regardless of location. Users can also request current data via SMS and configure up to eight programmable alerts that trigger SMS alert messages when specific conditions are met.
