Aiding Compliance

Tinytag DI has been designed to help organisations comply with GxP regulations in controlled environments.
  • Fully traceable, attributable and complete data history aids data integrity compliance (including MHRA Guidance on GxP Data Integrity, FDA 21CFR Part 11 and BS EN 12830)
  • User access controls and closed, secure system restrict unauthorised access to data
  • Accurate data helps you make informed decisions about temperature-sensitive products during manufacture, storage and transportation
  • Ideal for regulated environments within medical, pharmaceutical and food industries

Connectivity and Software

  • Built-in Web Interface: The DT85 runs an internal web server featuring dEX (or dEX 2.0) software. You don’t need proprietary software installed on a PC; you simply connect via an Ethernet or USB cable, open a web browser, and configure channels, view real-time data mimics, or download files.
  • Networking Capabilities: It natively supports FTP and email. You can program the logger to automatically email data logs or upload them to an FTP server on a schedule or when a specific alarm condition is tripped.

Frequently Asked Questions

â–¶ Q: Is the Tinytag DI software supplied as a perpetual license or an annual renewal?
A: Tinytag DI is available as a Perpetual Site License, or as an annually renewed software licence. The Perpetual licence is a one-time purchase that grants your organisation the right to use the software indefinitely at that specific localised operations venue without mandatory recurring annual subscription fees. On the Annual renewable, supplementary annual renewals need to be purchased to continue using the software. A Perpetual licence becomes cheaper in the 4th year.
â–¶ Q: How does Tinytag DI protect data integrity in a regulated environment?
A: Tinytag DI functions as a closed, secure system that prevents external or unauthorised manipulation of environmental profiles. When a compatible data logger is introduced to the software configuration, it is assigned a unique customer code that permanently locks the unit to that specific network. If an unauthorised user attempts to download or query that logger on a different system or unauthorised computer running basic software, access is automatically blocked, preserving strict data ownership.
â–¶ Q: Does Tinytag DI support compliance with FDA 21 CFR Part 11 and MHRA guidelines?
A: Yes. The platform is designed specifically to fulfil stringent global regulatory digital record-keeping guidelines, including MHRA GxP Data Integrity Guidance, FDA 21 CFR Part 11, and BS EN 12830 standards. By enforcing user validation checks, recording continuous chronological event mapping, and logging unalterable data paths, it provides compliance auditors with completely transparent proof of quality.
â–¶ Q: How are user access levels and operational permissions managed?
A: The software utilises a secure internal MySQL database to segment team duties into three clearly defined operational access brackets: Administrator: Full global visibility; manages audit configurations, configures system settings, and can enable or disable primary data integrity parameters across loggers.Power User: Permissions to configure settings, review datasets, and inspect active logs specifically for the local loggers manually assigned to their active queue. Operator: Read-only entry tier; limited strictly to downloading data and inspecting current active telemetry metrics on assigned nodes.
â–¶ Q: Do users have to remember separate software passwords for authentication?
A: No. To simplify compliance management, Tinytag DI utilises integrated Windows OS User Authentication. Users are mapped directly against their pre-existing Windows operating system login profile credentials. The software verifies the user's active session key automatically every single time they interact with the network, ensuring that all changes are securely stamped and attributed to a real user without requiring independent password updates.
â–¶ Q: What information is recorded in the automated audit log?
A: The integrated system audit log documents every event type across the equipment life-cycle. All actions, including logger configuration adjustments, manual data offloads, triggered environmental alarms, engineering alert acknowledgments, and system email notifications, are automatically compiled chronologically. Every individual transaction line is permanently dated, time-stamped, and explicitly links the action to the exact logger serial code, user profile, workstation name, and user privilege level.
