AP-7000 Platform

The Aquaread AP-7000 is a heavy-duty, maximum-capacity multi-parameter water quality probe designed for long-term, autonomous environmental monitoring. It features a complete suite of factory-installed baseline sensors, including optical dissolved oxygen, rapid-response pH/ORP, and multi-range conductivity, to deliver precise tracking across fresh, brackish, and marine waters. The platform is engineered fundamentally to thrive in demanding, unmanned telemetry deployments where manually servicing instruments is costly or logistically difficult.

What the AP-7000 offers over the smaller units in the series is an uncompromised six unrestricted auxiliary slots alongside a premium, high-torque central self-cleaning drive. While the intermediate AP-6000 caps customisation at four auxiliary ports, the AP-7000 allows users to deploy up to six distinct optical or chemical Ion Selective Electrodes (ISE) at the exact same time. This massive data density is continually protected by an upgraded mechanical wiper system that aggressively repels extreme bio-fouling and sediment accumulation during multi-month field deployments.

Key Features

  • Six Universal Auxiliary Ports: Maximises parameter density by providing six fully unrestricted slots, allowing simultaneous deployment of multiple optical sensors (like Turbidity and Algae) alongside target chemical ISE sensors.
  • Heavy-Duty Central Wiper System: Utilises a ruggedised, motorised central cleaning arm that sweeps all eight sensor faces systematically, preventing biological growth and fouling drift during long-term autonomous logging.
  • Pre-Installed Optical DO Technology: Features factory-integrated luminescence quenching caps that eliminate calibration drift, remove membrane dependencies, and operate reliably with zero water flow requirements.
  • Hardened Marine Construction: Machined from robust, thick-walled, hard-anodised marine-grade Aluminium with specialised AquaConn all-metal digital connectors to survive deep or long-term submersions down to 100 meters.
  • Turnkey Kit Adaptability: Available as a complete out-of-the-box field package featuring custom-fitted hard cases, deployment cables, and terminal choices like the handheld GPS Aquameter or mobile BlueLink Bluetooth adapter.

Applications

  • Autonomous Telemetry Networks: Acting as the primary multi-sensor terminal for permanent river and estuary monitoring stations connected to remote cellular or satellite data loggers.
  • High-Density Algal & Turbidity Tracking: Simultaneously monitoring total suspended solids alongside both Freshwater Blue-Green Algae and Marine Chlorophyll to detect complex biological shifts.
  • Industrial Effluent Compliance Monitoring: Continuous monitoring at major wastewater discharge outfalls, chemical processing plants, and mining operations requiring dense ion and optical tracking.
  • Bespoke Estuarine Research: Deploying large-scale marine profiling projects where salinity, depth, dye tracers, and multiple heavy metals must be logged concurrently over multi-month deployment windows.
To complete your monitoring system, you can choose between the standalone probe configuration or select a complete, turnkey field package tailored to your deployment style. The AP-7000 platform allows you to customise your data capture by populating its six unrestricted auxiliary ports from our selection of interchangeable optical and chemical electrodes. Review the comprehensive options below to choose your baseline probe model, specify your additional electrodes, or select a full, case-bound kit that includes your primary interface hardware.

AP-7000 Aquaprobe Package

AP-7000 Aquaprobe Package

The AP-7000 water monitoring probe includes a self cleaning mechanism to clear all of the monitoring probes for bio-fouling and brushes each probe multiple times per cycle. The AP-7000 comes pre fitted probes covering pH, ORP, Conductivity, TDS, SSG, Resistivity, Salinity, Dissolved Oxygen, Depth and Temperature probes. The AP-7000 features six covered sockets that can be fitted with any ISE or optical probes, allowing up to 17 parameters to be monitoring by one sensor. The probes are constructed from tough marine grade aluminium that has been hard anodised, making it suitable for use in both fresh and salt waters.

The motorised self-cleaning wiper prevents bio-fouling on the sensor faces, the wiper arm and pad assembly are wearable parts that experience friction during active cycles. For long-term autonomous logging installations, the wiper brush or pad should be visually inspected and replaced periodically to prevent degraded mechanical clearing efficiency in high-grit environments.
