The SMP range of pyranometers is based on the proven technology of the CMP series, but has a micro-processor, memory and firmware that makes them Smarter and faster
The SMP3 Pyranometer is a spectrally flat class C pyranometer with an amplified analogue and RS485 Modbus RTU output. The SMP3 is identical to the CMP3 pyranometer but includes a Modbus interface allowing for an improved response time and rescaleable, temperature corrected measurement data. The amplified output options are 0-1V or 4-20mA and these are identically configured to allow for easy installation and exchange during recalibration. The SMP3 has a 4mm glass dome with a spectral range of 300 to 2800nm. The small size and sealed construction make this instrument perfect for monitoring solar energy installations, agriculture, horticulture, hydrological and industrial applications.
The SMP6 Pyranometer is a Class B pyranometer with industry standard digital and analogue amplified outputs. The SMP6 is identical to the CMP6 pyranometer but includes an RS485 Modbus RTU interface allowing for an improved response time and rescaleable, temperature corrected measurement data. The SMP6 has a dual-dome construction with high quality glass and an increased thermal mass covering a spectral range of 285 to 2800nm. This unit is ideal for high quality solar radiation monitoring for site prospecting or technology research for solar energy applications. It is also particularly suitable for upgrading meteorological networks and for use in sun tracker based solar monitoring stations.
The SMP10X Pyranometer is a Smart pyranometer with just the RS485 Digital Output. The SMP10 includes a sealed internal drying cartridge that allows for 10 years operation without replacement. The SMP10X is identical to the CMP10X pyranometer but includes an RS485 Modbus RTU interface allowing for an improved response time and rescaleable, temperature corrected measurement data. The SMP10X has a dual-dome construction with high quality glass and an increased thermal mass covering a spectral range of 285 to 2800nm. This unit is ideal for long term installations requiring solar radiation monitoring for technology research for solar energy applications and any locations where the access to the instrument for maintenance is difficult or restricted.
The new SMP12 is an industry's first fast response spectrally flat Class A Pyranometer that combines solid-state dome heating to mitigate the effects of morning dew, frost or snow. The SMP12 combines proven sensor and diffuser technology from the RaZON+ PH1 and PR1 radiometers with an enhanced version of the Smart interface and the low maintenance of the SMP10. The SMP12 has an internal drying cartridge that will last for at least 10 years if the housing is not opened. This further reduces maintenance significantly. The RS485 Modbus RTU outputs provide an output for solar irradiance (-200 to 2000W/m²), Internal humidity and temperature, plus tilt angle.
The SMP21 Pyranometer is a secondary standard pyranometer with an amplified analogue and RS485 Modbus RTU output. The SMP21 is identical to the CMP21 pyranometer but includes a Modbus interface allowing for an improved response time and rescaleable, temperature corrected measurement data. The amplified output options are 0-1V or 4-20mA and these are identically configured to allow for easy installation and exchange during recalibration. The SMP21 has two, 2mm thick, high quality concentric domes which reduces directional error and improves thermal isolation. The SMP21 has an internal 10K thermistor, or PT100, sensor to monitor the housing temperature, along with individual temperature and direction response values for post-processing of recorded data. The SMP21 also has a refillable desiccant chamber. Spectral range...
The SMP22 Pyranometer is a secondary standard pyranometer with an amplified analogue and RS485 Modbus RTU output. The SMP22 is identical to the CMP22 pyranometer but includes a Modbus interface allowing for an improved response time and rescaleable, temperature corrected measurement data. The SMP22 uses very high quality quartz domes for a wider spectral range, improved direction response and reduced thermal offsets. The SMP22 has an internal temperature sensor to monitor the housing temperature, along with individual temperature and direction response values for post-processing of recorded data. The SMP22 also has a refillable desiccant chamber. Spectral range of 200 to 3600nm. The SMP22 is an ideal choice for scientific research requiring the highest level of measurement accuracy and reliability under...
The CVF4 Ventilation unit is a low maintenance ventilation unit with a fan and inlet filter that provides a flow of clean air over the dome of a radiometer. The integrated heater allows the air to be warmed when necessary. The fan of the CVF4 runs continuously to reduce dust and dirt settling, to dissipate rain drops and to stabilise the dome temperature. A tacho output from the fan gives two pulses per revolution and allows remote monitoring of the fan operation using a data logger. The CVF4 is designed to be used with Kipp & Zonen CMP and SMP series pyranometers, the CGR 4 pyrgeometer, and the CUV5 total UV radiometer.
