GL860 Midi Logger

The Graphtec GL860 is a highly versatile, standalone data logger engineered to handle massive sensor arrays by scaling from 20 base channels up to 200 fully isolated channels. Operating with a high-resolution 7-inch widescreen colour display and an advanced internal flash memory architecture, it provides comprehensive data acquisition directly in the field without requiring a laptop connection. The instrument functions fundamentally as a centralised diagnostic hub that safely logs voltage, temperature, humidity, logic, and pulse signals simultaneously across high-density setups.

The GL860 offers unique modular terminal configuration, allowing users to physically daisy-chain extension blocks closer to actual sensor locations. This distributed architecture drastically shortens individual sensor leads, minimising thermal noise and signal degradation while maintaining complete channel-to-channel galvanic isolation across massive, high-count monitoring points.

  • Fast 5 ms Sampling Performance: Delivers accelerated scanning intervals as fast as 5 ms per channel, a speed advantage over the smaller GL260 model (10 ms limit) for catching quick voltage fluctuations.
  • Versatile Sensor & RTD Integration: Supports traditional thermocouples, DC voltages, and relative humidity alongside dedicated 3-wire RTD sensors (Pt100, JPt100, Pt1000) using specialised push-in terminal blocks.
  • Enhanced Memory Loop Function: Features smart ring-memory recording that automatically overwrites the oldest data segments when storage capacity is full, preventing system halts during endless testing cycles.
  • Advanced Dual PC/Network Interfaces: Features native USB 2.0 and Ethernet ports, allowing users to monitor live feeds via a standard web browser or set up automated FTP data backups.

Frequently Asked Questions

â–¶ Q: How many readings can the GL860 record?
A: Each 2GB of memory alows roughly 500 million to 1 billion total data points in GBD (Graphtec Binary Data Format) or 100 million to 150 million total data points in CSV (Comma-Separated Values Format). Internal is 8GB and External SD Card up to 32GB.
â–¶ Q: Does the B-568 Wirelss LAN Module work without a local WiFi
A: Yes, the Graphtec B-568 Wireless LAN module can absolutely work without a local Wi-Fi network or router. In Access Point Mode the logger broadcasts it own 2.4GHz WiFi Network allowing direct connection to a Tablet or PC or wireless connection to the GL100 modules.
â–¶ Q: Can I install a SD Card when using the B-568 WiFi Module?
A: Yes, the GL860 has a second SD memory card slot. Slot 2 hosts to the B-568 Module, but Slot 1 is still open and can accept a 32GB SDHC card for file storage.

Please note: The GL860 is supplied without an input terminal and one must be purchased separately.
