The Graphtec midiLOGGER GL980 and GL2000 are premium, standalone data acquisition systems designed to capture high-speed electrical transients and precision environmental data simultaneously. Engineered with independent Analogue-to-Digital (A/D) converters per channel, these loggers achieve synchronous sampling speeds up to 1 MS/s (1 µs sampling interval), filling the crucial testing gap between standard slow-speed data loggers and high-complexity oscilloscopes. Both instruments feature a large, high-resolution 7-inch colour display, heavy-duty channel isolation, and extensive internal memory architectures to ensure rugged, standalone reliability in volatile electrical environments.

What sets this series apart is its tailored optimisation for high-speed voltage capturing without sacrificing traditional logger features like multi-point thermocouple logging. Unlike competing instruments that share a single A/D converter across multiple channels (causing a speed drop as you add inputs), the GL980 and GL2000 maintain their blistering 1 MS/s performance on every single channel, even during simultaneous multi-signal capturing.

Key Features

  • 1 MS/s True Simultaneous Sampling: Equipped with dedicated internal A/D converters on every channel to eliminate multiplexing delays and capture ultra-fast electrical waveforms down to a 1 µs interval.
  • Targeted Model Specialisation: Choose the GL980 for high-density multi-channel monitoring (8 channels, up to 500 V DC) or the GL2000 for extreme high-voltage environments (4 channels, up to 1000 V DC / 1000 Vrms with CAT III 600V safety certification).
  • Robust Galvanic Channel Isolation: Protects sensitive instrumentation, users, and neighbouring circuits from high common-mode voltages and catastrophic ground loops.
  • Dual Capture Mode: Allows long-term continuous sampling to flash memory at a slower interval while simultaneously monitoring for fast, unpredictable electrical transients using high-speed internal RAM triggers.
  • Real-Time True RMS Measuring: The GL2000 features onboard hardware arithmetic capable of continuously calculating and logging accurate True RMS values for complex AC waveforms, spikes, and shifting power loads.

Note: Sampling intervals faster than 1 millisecond (500 µs down to 1 µs) cannot be written directly to internal flash memory or external USB drives due to storage medium write-speed limitations. For high-speed capturing, data must first be written directly to the ultra-fast internal RAM buffer and subsequently saved or transferred to permanent storage.
