Description
The AV-D air velocity transmitter is a versatile instrument designed for the measurement of airflow in air ducting. Its biggest advantage is that the flow range and output signal can be adjusted on the unit itself. Jumpers are position to change the output signal between 4-20mA and 0-10V and the range is set by simply setting the DIP switches in the right position. This makes this unit compatible with a broad spectrum of Building Energy Management Systems (BEMS) and control devices. It also means that should condition change, the same unit just needs a quick adjustment and not replaced.
The AV-D is designed to withstand various environmental conditions, operating within an operating temperature range of -30 to +60°C and an air media temperature range of -10 to +50°C, with a humidity tolerance of 0 to 95% non-condensing. Its IP65 rating further ensures protection against dust and water ingress. Constructed with a durable PC/GF housing, that is Halogen free, flame retardant & UV stabilised housing and a Delrin probe,
The practical applications of the AV-D are widespread within the HVAC and industrial sectors. In Air Handling Units (AHUs) it can fill a crucial role in monitoring and controlling airflow to optimise system efficiency and maintain desired comfort levels. The AV-D can be used in car park and tunnel ventilation systems for air quality management, and Fan Coil Units (FCUs) for monitoring filter performance in air filtration systems. Its integration into Demand Controlled Ventilation (DCV) systems enables energy savings by adjusting ventilation rates based on actual occupancy.
