AP-6000 Platform

The Aquaread AP-6000 is a heavy-duty, multi-parameter water quality probe designed for continuous, medium-to-long-term environmental data collection. It features a suite of factory-installed baseline sensors, including optical dissolved oxygen, rapid-response pH/ORP, and multi-range conductivity, to establish core water quality indices. The system is engineered primarily to reduce field maintenance intervals during unmanned data-logging operations in challenging, high-fouling aquatic environments.

What the AP-6000 offers over smaller systems like the AP-5000 is the addition of an integrated, motorised central cleaning wiper. This high-torque mechanism physically sweeps the faces of all installed sensors at user-defined intervals, aggressively clearing bio-fouling, silt, and organic growth. It combines this active maintenance technology with four unrestricted auxiliary sockets, allowing operators to run a massive array of concurrent optical or chemical sensors in high-fouling waters without experiencing sensor drift.

Key Features

  • Integrated Motorised Cleaning Wiper: Features a central mechanical wiper system that systematically cleans all sensor faces, drastically reducing manual maintenance visits and ensuring long-term data validity.
  • Four Fully Unrestricted Auxiliary Slots: Outfitted with four universal port sockets that can accommodate any combination of Aquaread optical or Ion Selective Electrodes (ISE) concurrently.
  • Simultaneous Multi-Optical Configurations: Eliminates single-optical bottlenecks, allowing the concurrent deployment of parameters such as Turbidity, Chlorophyll, and Blue-Green Algae alongside the self-cleaning wiper.
  • Pre-Installed Optical DO Technology: Employs premium dynamic luminescence quenching caps that eliminate calibration drift and operate accurately with zero liquid flow dependencies.
  • Turnkey Packaging Layouts: Available as a comprehensive field kit complete with rugged transport case, high-tensile deployment cables, and choice of terminal interface arrays.

Applications

  • Continuous Catchment Logging: Unmanned monitoring across rivers and storm-water catchments prone to high sediment run-off and seasonal silt build-up.
  • Coastal Estuary Networks: Extended tracking across marine mixing zones where bio-fouling and macroalgal growth typically disrupt static optical sensors.
  • Industrial Clarifier Profiling: Monitoring treatment ponds, cooling towers, and industrial process water loops requiring continuous chemical verification.
  • Long-Term Aquaculture Supervision: Tracking critical oxygenation levels, temperature changes, and ammonium concentrations inside commercial fish pens.
To complete your monitoring system, you can choose between the standalone probe configuration or select a complete, turnkey field package tailored to your deployment style. The AP-6000 platform allows you to customise your data capture by populating its four unrestricted auxiliary ports from our selection of interchangeable optical and chemical electrodes. Review the comprehensive options below to choose your baseline probe model, specify your exact electrodes, or select a full, case-bound kit that includes your primary interface hardware.

AP-6000 Aquaprobe Package

AP-6000 Aquaprobe Package

The AP-6000 Aquaprobe package includes a self cleaning mechanism to clear all of the monitoring probes of dirty build up. The AP-6000 comes pre fitted probes covering pH, ORP, Conductivity, TDS, SSG, Resistivity, Salinity, Dissolved Oxygen, Depth and Temperature probes. The AP-6000 features four empty sockets that aren't restricted like the AP-2000 package. The probes are constructed from tough marine grade aluminium that has been hard anodised, making it suitable for use in both fresh and salt waters.

The motorised self-cleaning wiper prevents bio-fouling on the sensor faces, the wiper arm and pad assembly are wearable parts that experience friction during active cycles. For long-term autonomous logging installations, the wiper brush or pad should be visually inspected and replaced periodically to prevent degraded mechanical clearing efficiency in high-grit environments.
