Unlike continuously powered industrial gateways, the TCG210-4 is optimised for off-grid operations where standard power infrastructure is unavailable. It functions as a self-contained, sealed edge logger that balances aggressive power conservation with reliable cellular data delivery.

The device automatically organises its payload into dual formats: a concise JSON status file alongside the most recent high-resolution log data formatted as a CSV payload. It also natively supports MQTT pipelines and can dispatch direct SMS alarm messages to up to 5 unique field contacts if critical climate thresholds are breached.

Field Configuration & Deployment

Once deployed in the field, the logger shifts entirely to remote administration, allowing the master system administrator to adjust parameters over-the-air using inbound SMS string commands or HTTP API calls.
