GEN II WSR Telemetry Receiver System

  • Description

Description

The WSR-16C (Wireless Sensor Receiver) is a self-contained mains powered receiver with 16 voltage outputs. Built-in batteries providing 48 hours of operation in the event of a mains failure. An LCD is incorporated for real time metering of sensor values. The WSR-16C is suitable for integrating to any monitoring systems which accept 4-20mA analogue signals with slowly changing variables – typically measured every 10 seconds.

The WSR-16C is a GEN II receiver unit that can be used with most GEN II transmitter, but not all. The transmitter units are battery powered and can simply be placed where you need them. Transmitters can be configured using our set-up software and most models are available with an LCD display for local monitoring. Local audible and visual alarms can be built in to transmitters, if required.

The WSR-16C units generate a voltage output based on a verified data packet being received from GEN II transmitters. The generated signal will be held until an updated value is received, or the configured interval has elapsed and a ‘No Data’ value will be output instead. The interval is defaulted to 6 transmitter intervals but can be amended, if required.

Features

  • Up to 16 sensor values (e.g. temperature, humidity, light, voltage or current) are presented as corresponding 4-20mA outputs on the WSR-16C receiver, allowing quick, easy and accurate connection to existing data gathering systems.
  • Uses standard license exempt frequencies
  • Long distance assured – up to 1Km depending on installation
  • Uses GEN II transmitters to collect sensor inputs via a wireless radio signal
  • Ideal for permanent or temporary applications e.g.
    • temperature mapping
    • research projects
    • difficult to wire environments
  • Continue to use your preferred analysis software
