TSL200 1-Wire Ambient Light Sensor

Description

The TSL200 is a 1-Wire ambient light sensor designed to provide highly accurate and precise measurements of visible light intensity. It boasts an impressive dynamic range of up to 83,000 lux, ensuring accurate readings even when exposed to direct light sources. A key feature is its strong infrared (IR) rejection, which means its spectral response closely mimics that of the human eye, making it ideal for applications where human perception of light is important. The sensor’s automatic full-scale settings enable light measurement over a 23-bit effective dynamic range, ensuring high precision in both very dim and intensely bright conditions.

Further enhancing its reliability, the TSL200 incorporates internal digital signal processing for long-term stability and repeatability of measurements. It comes fully factory calibrated, eliminating the need for any additional calibration by the user. Communication is handled via the 1-Wire interface, and the inclusion of two RJ-11 connectors simplifies daisy-chain wiring for multi-sensor setups. Each sensor also possesses a unique serial number, allowing for the easy integration of multiple sensors into a single system. This makes the TSL200 versatile, enabling its combination with other environmental sensors to create comprehensive, single-point multi-parameter environmental monitoring solutions.
