Description
The ToughSonic TS-200.20H1X.007FB is a compact, rugged ultrasonic sensor engineered specifically for direct point-to-point digital communication, featuring a dedicated RS-232 serial output that supports both Senix ASCII and Modbus RTU protocols. Housed in a 316 stainless steel enclosure with an IP68 / NEMA 4X/6P rating, it delivers precise non-contact liquid level and distance measurements up to 20 feet (6.1 meters) directly to PC COM ports, data loggers, cellular gateways, and microcontrollers without requiring signal converters. Equipped with built-in temperature compensation and fully customisable parameters via SenixVIEW software, the TS-200.20 provides high-precision serial data transmission and flexible event-driven switching for localised industrial, municipal, and remote monitoring applications.

The ToughSonic TS-200 sensors are designed for liquid level measurements in corrosive chemical environments, but it is also an excellent choice for benign materials as well. It is fully submersible, chemical and shock resistant with a sealed PVDF housing. The ToughSonic TS-200 sensors use ultrasonic sound waves to measure distances through air. This technology has distinct advantages over mechanical, optical and radar technologies. Ultrasonic sound waves are unaffected by ambient light, target colour, transparency or reflectivity and the target area can be much wider than optical sensor allowing small and large objects to be easily detected. The ultrasound waves are non-contact, which last longer and require less maintenance than contact sensors that are more prone to corrosion, scaling and coating.
The SenixView software allows the units to be easily rescaled, configured, cloned, addressed and synchronised with other sensors. Simultaneous outputs are available in programmable 4-20mA or 0-10V analogue outputs and PNP or NPN switches (configurable as sinking or sourcing). The RS232 serial output can link using the Modbus protocol. If required, Omni Instruments can program the unit to your specific requirement prior to shipping, simply add TSPC-PROG to your basket and we will contact you for your programming requirements.
