Description
The SUBSEA-SW1 subsea power switch is ideal for controlling power on a subsea sled, or small-scale subsea operating system. The square mounting plate is made of 316 stainless steel, with a rotating switch bar containing two permanent magnets. Upon rotation to the horizontal “ON” position, one of the two magnets align with a reed switch sensor housed in a stainless steel enclosure behind the mounting plate, activating a solid state relay. The relay is suitable for switching 24vDC up to 500mA. This can feed the power through the switch on low powered systems, or used to active a relay in the main system that controls the power for higher voltage and current.
The stainless steel housing incorporates one Subsea bulkhead connectors, but can be revised with two for switches that separate power from the main system. The SUBSEA-SW1 is provided with a 5m cable, equipped with MCBH4M-SS Subsea connectors. The entire switch assembly and connectors are rated for operation in seawater depths up to 4000 meters.
