Subsea Electrical Stab Probe

The GISMA series 80 subsea stab probe is a wet-wet mateable electrical connector suitable for connecting a subsea data logger or sensor to an ROV to enable data acquisition to the surface. The unit is prerssure balanced and can be used to depths of 3000 metres, with an optional capability to 6000 metres. Connectors can have up to 19 pins and are rated to 700vDC at 20 amps.

DESIGN FEATURES

Receptacle

  • different flange designs are available (flange individual item)
  • longitudinally sealed contact design with 2 independent double o-ring-seals (4 o-rings in total)
  • gold-plated Peek isolated beryllium copper pin contact  
  • shock and pressure resistant epoxy casting at the receptacle’s rear (epoxy casting tested in a real underwater explosion test to qualify it for marine application.)
  • Keyway versions (X, Y) available upon request.
  • Scoop proof.
  • serval holes to achieve pressure balance

Plug

  • 3 locking clamps with an overall safety spring
  • Various handles (bars) available
  • Double membrane sealing system
  • Double o-ring-seals
  • 16 mm lang entry gasket for each contact
  • Special design shuttle pin to reduce compression set in the front gasket during storage
  • Shuttle pin made off PEEK
