Optional Sensors
Solar Irradiance
The SP Lite 2 is a simple, low cost pyranometer for routine measurements of solar radiation. The unit has been designed to be used in all weather conditions with minimal maintenance. The SP Lite 2 features a silicon photo-diode detector with a conical diffuser to provide a full 180° field of view and allow rain to run off. The photo-diode does limit the spectral range, 400-1100nm, but this provides a similar spectral response to photovoltaic solar cells.
Measurement Range: | +2000Wm² |
Resolution: | 100µV/Wm² |
Units: | Wm² |
Barometric Pressure
The temperature and humidity sensor is a single instruments supplied mounted into a small Stevenson screen, designed to protect the sensor against error-producing solar radiation and precipitation, plus the discs prevent any wind effects on the readings. Screen can be secured to the tripod, or with fixing screws to a surface.
Measurement Range: | 750-1250mBar |
Accuracy: | 0.1% |
Units: | mBar |
Temperature & Humidity
The temperature and humidity sensor is a single instruments supplied mounted into a small Stevenson screen, designed to protect the sensor against error-producing solar radiation and precipitation, plus the discs prevent any wind effects on the readings. Screen can be secured to the tripod, or with fixing screws to a surface.
Temperature | Relative Humidity | |
Measurement Range: | -40 to +60°C | 0-100%RH |
Accuracy: | ±0.5°C | ±1.5%RH |
Units: | °C | %RH |
Rainfall
The TR-525 rain gauge is a freestanding tipping rain bucket used to measure precipitation totals with a pulse output for rainfall totals. The 6″ open top funnel allows for a 0.01″ measurement unit (convertible to mm). The rain bucket is free standing but needs secured to the surface to prevent it being knocked over.
