N321R Electronic Thermostat with Defrost Cycle

The N321R Electronic Thermostats are designed for refrigeration application with a programmable defrost cycle that can turn off a compressor at pre-determined time intervals for a specific duration. Manual Defrost key is also available on the front panel. The N321R accepts NTC Thermistor temperature sensors. A single SPDT Relay (Max 250 @ 16A) allows for power a connected compressor with ON/OFF control.

Description

The Novus N321R is a specialised electronic thermostat designed for high-performance refrigeration control, featuring a high-capacity 16A single relay output capable of driving compressors up to 1 HP directly. Unlike standard controllers, the N321R is purpose-built for simplified ice management through interval-based defrost cycling. By utilising programmable dFi (Interval) and dFt (Duration) parameters, the unit automatically triggers periodic compressor shutdowns to facilitate passive defrosting without the need for additional sensors or complex wiring. This ‘Compressor-Stop’ logic, combined with an IP65-rated front panel and a dedicated manual defrost hot-key, makes the N321R an ideal solution for commercial beverage coolers, display cases, and small-scale cold storage environments where reliable, timed maintenance cycles are critical.
