MT Series Peak-Echo Ultrasonic Thickness Meter - Image 2

MT Series Peak-Echo Ultrasonic Thickness Meter

The MT Series are a range of sophisticated digital ultrasonic thickness gauge designed for single thickness measurements. Operating on a pulse-echo principle, it precisely measures material thickness by calculating the transit time of ultrasonic pulses. Its key technical features include compatibility with various ultrasonic conductors, dual straight beam probes for diverse applications, and an advanced error correction system. The device boasts zero and two-point calibration, real-time coupling status indication, and a backlight for low-light conditions. It is specifically engineered for reliability in harsh environments, featuring anti-vibration, anti-shock, and anti-electromagnetic interference capabilities, making it ideal for monitoring corrosion in industrial settings. This device only measure the first reflection and will only see coating on materials that are coated. The Multi-Echo versions are required for seeing through coatings.

MT200 Ultrasonic Thickness Gauge

  • Description

Description

All three of the MT Series Ultrasonic Thickness Meters in this section work on a Peak to Echo measurement range. This is ideal for bare metals without costings, or coatings that can be removed.  They will measure the top layer and show errors where this is below the 0.75mm minimum. Echo to Echo measurement ranges are available on the other ranges and these are suitable for measurements through a protection outer layer.

Features

  • Suitable for measuring various materials such as metals (steel, cast iron, aluminum, copper, etc.), plastics, ceramics, glass, and other good ultrasonic conductors.
  • Dual straight beam probes with different frequencies and crystal sizes are available.
  • MT160 and MT200 includes USB port to download recorded values, MT150 values are displayed on screen.
  • MT150 and MT160 include an ABS Plastic Housings with High contrast Segment LCD
  • The MT200 has an Aluminium Magnesium Alloy Housing with 128 x 64 Dot Matrix LCD
  • Features zero calibration, two-point calibration, and an automatic error correction system.
  • Can measure known thickness and sound speed to improve measurement accuracy.
  • Includes a coupling status indicator showing the coupling status.
  • Equipped with an EL backlight for easy use in dimly lit environments.
  • A remaining battery indicator displays the remaining power in real time.
  • Has auto sleep and auto power off functions to conserve battery life.
  • It is small, portable, has high reliability for harsh operating environments, and features anti-vibration, anti-shock, and anti-electromagnetic interference.
