Description
The MINI64232 is a synthetic plastic macro snap head with an Aluminium vane impeller and separate external electronics. The external electronics box provides a linear 4-20mA output signal for a flow velocity range of 0-20m/s. The probe has a starting flow velocity of 0.2m/s but can provide readings below this once the impeller has started moving. The ‘Macro’ head is the largest of the three avaliable and has the lowest starting flow velocity. The Macro head is ideal for measuring flow rates in open areas with potentially low flow velocities.

Snap-Head Replacement
The MiniAir units with external electronics still use the same snap head fixing system, which allows a new impellar to be fitted to the probe handle quickly and easily. Saving cost caused by non-productive time or by allowing a damaged turbine to be replaced without the need to replace a whole probe and/or electronics. The old snap head just needs pulled directly from the handle and a new snap head fitted by pushing it onto the handle. This allows users to have a probe back in service in a matter of seconds by simply changing the snap-head.
Every MiniAir probe head generate a pulse each time a vane blade passes the probe handle and the MiniAir 64 electronic box provides a linear 4-20mA output for the scaled flow range. Each snap head and probe handle are paired and any replacement snap head should be of the same original size and flow range. Fitting an incorrect snap head will not match the probe handle and therefore the MiniAir 64 will no longer provide an accurate output, as will trying to us a different sensor with the incorrect electronics box.
The MiniAir vane anemometers featuring the external electronics, synthetic plastic/Aluminium construction sensors are suitable for use up to 140°C but the external electronics box should be exposed to no more than 80°C. A Steel vane and handle option is available for higher temperature applications up to 250°C.
MINI64232 is the replacement part for part no. 93.1155.
