Horizonal Float Switches

The FLCS-01 Horizonal Float Switch is a digital output device optimised for straight forward liquid level detection in remote monitoring systems. Designed for horizontal side-entry installation, its polypropylene float and acetal housing with EPDM sealing ensure durability. The sensor provides a basic change of state via a reed switch, which can be configured as normally open or normally closed by simply rotating the float. It’s ideal for indicating high or low levels in applications such as drinking water, un-pressurised central heating systems, and non-corrosive fluid storage tanks, operating up to 60°C.

Description

Float switches are simple, reliable devices used to detect the presence or absence of liquid at a specific level, or to control pumps and alarms based on fluid levels. They operate on the principle of buoyancy, using a floating element to activate a switch as the liquid level changes. Horizontal float switches are ideal for mounting in the side of a tank to monitor the tank levels.

FLCS-01

Single pole float switch suitable for use with most liquids with a minimum specific gravity of 0.8. Acetal housing and Polypropylene float make this sensor suitable for use with drinking water, fuel or organic solvents. Float orientation determines normally open or normally closed (N/C with horizontal). Sensor is designed for side entry mounting with an EPDM sealing grommet and 100mm PVC cable. Power rating 250 VAC at 1 Amp (Max 15 Watts) in an operating temperature up to +60 C.
