The MaxiMet GMX560 is the ruggedised, marine-specific evolution of the standard weather station range. While other models are designed for land-based agriculture or industrial safety, the GMX560 is engineered to survive the unique stresses of open-water environments. It features IP68 environmental protection (allowing for temporary submersion) and a high-performance 6-axis electronic compass (3-axis fluxgate + 3-axis accelerometer). This combination allows the unit to provide stable data even on pitching and rolling platforms like buoys, Unmanned Surface Vessels (USVs), and small ships. By eliminating moving parts and using marine-grade UV-stabilized thermoplastics, the GMX560 solves the critical “maintenance at sea” problem, providing reliable digital data for offshore wind, naval logistics, and maritime research.
