Description
A colinear (or collinear) antenna consists of a number of smaller ‘antennas’ mounted in such a way as to allow the corresponding elements in each to be parallel and colinear, that is located along a common line or axis. Colinear antennas are high gain omni-direction antennas with an omni-directional radiation pattern when in free space. The antenna radiates equal radio power in all azimuthal directions perpendicular to the antenna. Stacking multiple ‘antennas’ in a vertical colinear array increases the power radiated in horizontal directions and limits the amount of power that is being radiated into the ground or up into the sky.
The COLGSM is a cellular base station antenna with a GSMÂ frequency range of 868 to 915MHz. The antenna is supplied with a reinforced extra strength wall bracket. The COLGSM antenna is ideal for improving the GSM and GPRS communications on the GRD and OmniText GSM/GPRS data logger/SMS alarm units and any other radio devices that use the 868 to 915MHz frequency bands.
