Description

The WL320 water level transmitter, part number 8809101005, is a reliable solution for water level monitoring with a 1m measurement range and 5m cable. This model is suitable for applications involving roof drainage, sumps or small laboratory tanks. The 1m range allows them to be used to monitoring water levels of small tanks or water collection areas that don’t need much depth. The WL320 has vented cables, so automatically adjusts for barometric pressure to provide more accurate readings over the 1m range.

Application

• Small Water Tanks:
  • Small scale water storage tank monitoring, for laboratory or university projects.
  • Monitoring water levels in small aquariums.
• Monitoring in Roof Systems:
  • Monitoring water levels in Blue or Green Roofs allows for better control of the outflows.
  • Level monitoring can also ensure the plants and substrate aren’t washed away by high levels
  • Preventing flooding from sudden heavy rainfall by holding, or restricting the drainage into local water sources.
  • Blue/Green Roof water levels tend to be shallow (commonly around 100-150mm) for structural protection of the building, but may include holding areas where depth can be higher to aid pumping operations.
• Wastewater and Drainage Management:
  • V-Notch Weirs would normally only need 1m water height monitored to flow rates
  • Small Sumps or Lift Stations collect drainage water and trigger sump pumps to prevent flooding
  • “Smart Cities” can use sensors to detect when street gutters are becoming blocked by debris before a flood happens.
